New. Trying to figure out if a guy is interested in me

    HELP! I have a friend. have known him for a couple years. We recently started getting together for coffee every other week, just to chat. the chats stay general.
    I noticed today, that every time I see him, he says my name and smiles.
    how can I tell if he's interested?
    I don't want to turn him off. I enjoy his friendship, but…. :slight_smile:

    I would say that if he finds reasons to touch you that is a huge indicator. However if there is no reason to touch and no touches happen, then that is a good indicator he may not be interested romantically. Then again you never know until you ask but you always have to be careful if you are not sure ...

    As with any relationship, test the waters first by bringing up LGBT+ news, or something related, and observing his reaction.

    It's a very delicate situation. I'm not comfortable asking him. he's not overly touchy (physically) but it's just his nature. I'll continue to read him and see how it goes.
