I've always noticed that when I fancy someone, I can even just look at a patch of their skin and feel sexually attracted, like it's some wonderfully tasty sweet treat wanting me to discover it! Can't explain why I feel this way about it, but if it was just a handsome or pretty face, I wouldn't feel attracted. I've also always been embarrassed by the words handsome and pretty, I can never use them in descriptions and no wonder, as they are classed as "gender exclusive!". The men I like are often called pretty and the women handsome...I've always cringed at the concept when younger, as I felt it should be other way around, so I prefer to use gender neutral words like attractive, hot, sexy or cute.
You are not alone, it happens for me too. But just for me personally, I'm very sensitive in every way, and I get really badly sexually frustrated by someone's skin's scent lol, now that's weird.
Haha, appearance is something that's important to everyone, even if it's just subliminally I'm a sucker for pretty eyes, good fashion sense, and a wonderful personality XD
Lots of people are sexually attracted curves and muscles. Skin? Not odd. In fact, it is normally not as indecent to stare at a patch of skin as opposed to someone's "assets". And gender neutral words are great. Besides, I would like to be called "handsome", at least once, instead of the same old "pretty".
I think it's pretty normal, really, to be turned on either by someone's skin or someone's scent. Scent in particular is very normal; we have pheromones for a reason, and that reason is assortative partnering. I've actually been thinking about the role of pheromones in attraction a lot, lately. It's really the only reason I can think of for why some people excite me by just walking into the room (sometimes despite my usual types) and others won't.
I know how that feels. Most of the time I when I feel sexual attraction it is because I caught someone's scent. It makes me uncomfortable. Mostly because I usually catch the scent because I am close to a friend. But I think it is pretty normal.
