Having sex or thinking about women even though I'm gay?

I've heard gay guys talk about stuff like that before, it's not unheard of.

 

It probably just means your like a 4 or 5 (gay preference bisexual or mostly gay, respectively) on the Kinsey scale, but not a true 6 (completely gay). Sexuality is not a pure binary, but rather a bimodal spectrum. It's totally normal.

As long as your sure you want to have long term relationships only with men (and your lived experience supports that), all is well.

If you entertain perhaps having a relationship with a woman, then you might want to consider identifying as gay leaning bisexual. But only if that feels right. Your call.

 

No, I don't think it's strange at all! Lots of, if not most gay people I know place themselves at a 4 or 5 on the kinsey scale anyway. If you really feel the need to change your label, then you definitely have that option. Do what feels right.

 

I am like a 3 or 4 on the Kinsey Scale. In ratio to men/women it would be like 60/40 or 55/45. I tend to be somewhat more gay leaning though technically I am bisexual.

 

I tend to think that you mislabeled yourself. You sound more bisexual to me. But if you don't see yourself involved in long term relationships with women I guess it's alright.

 

You could be something like a homoromantic bisexual. You sound like you may be somewhere around in the 4 range on the Kinsey Scale. I will leave it up to you though as what you want to label yourself.

It's more complex that the simple Kinsey scale, but gives a result in terms of the Kinsey scale.

I fall right between equally heterosexual and homosexual and predominantly homosexual but more than incidentally heterosexual. Do you have like a higher turn on in general for men but can get turned by the idea of having sex with women and masturbate and get off to it.

You could fall around a Kinsey 3 or 4 like I do. It is up to you how you want to identify.

 

Im in the same exact condition. I have thoughts about having sex with a woman and kinda get turned on by it but whenever I think if kissing a woman it doesnt feel right and all the romantic stuff. Sometimes there is a thought of being married to a woman, which feels natural but unsatisfying.
