Do I only feel this way because of the LGBT+ around me?

Is it possible to think you're LGBT+ if there is a lot of it around you, when in reality you're not? I'm pretty sure I am bi, but I only felt attraction towards girls a long time after it became a thing that's just always around me. Is there some connection? Does this make sense?

Kind of makes sense, but since you're 13 it could just be your true orientation showing. It's hard to know your orientation before you hit puberty.

Maybe everyone thinks they're straight because of all the straight people around them? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Don't worry about it too much. Just keep an open mind and I'm sure you'll figure out your feelings eventually. It takes time and experience, and the journey can be pretty fun. I'm 27 and I'm still figuring things out. The important part isn't the label that you choose, it's being true to yourself even if you don't have a label.

A similar thing happened with me but I think it's that before, when I was just surrounded by straight people, I had no idea because bi or lesbian was possible but once it slowly surrounded me, I started to realize
