It is crazy how some people (especially those who are very religious), try to say that homosexuality "doesn't exist in nature". The thing is it actually does exist in nature, probably far more than it does with people. In the animal world, there are no social filters or conditioning at all. There are no social rules or religious beliefs in the world of animals whatsoever. They simply have their very primitive compulsions, drives, and instincts to guide them. If an animal only has access to members of the same sex of their species at the particular moment they get an urge to "hump" something, most species of animals wouldn't even give it a second thought. It's not like they would ever think to themselves, "I'm not doing that, because that would be gay." They would just start doing it without even thinking. As outrageous as this would sound to most people, if it weren't for social conditioning humans may not be all that dramatically different. Sure people are much more intelligent beings, and it probably wouldn't have quite the same indiscriminate, uncontrolled quality that it does in the animal world. However, there probably would often be very little to no reluctance to do something that would today be considered "gay". People aren't animals, but we're not as far removed as we often like to think as far as basic drives and instincts go.
Very true, and transgender is in nature too, there is a species of frogs where, when there isnt enough females some males gender change to female
I think you are really onto something here. BTW my grandma is okay with homosexuality because she had a dog who was a lesbian
Well, I hate to sound like a jerk, but people ARE animals. Don't forget that necrophilia occurs in nature. Just because something is "natural" doesn't necessarily mean it should be legal. I believe that order is required to effectively advance as a civilization.
