    Hi there,

OK, so it's a bit of a hard subject to write about but basically I've been watching porn all my life. Far too much of the stuff. I know porn's not a good indicator, blah, blah, blah but with a serious lack of real life experience and serious overload of pornography experience, it's a little difficult to ignore it completely.

I've always watched 70% straight porn, 25% lesbian porn, 4% transexual porn and less than 1% homosexual porn. I think that sentence alone is part of the reason it took me 23 years to ever realize I was anything other than heterosexual. The trouble is, in hindsight, whilst I would technically be watching heterosexual porn there were two significant things to consider. 1) which gender I was focusing on. 2) what sex acts the actors were performing.

The answer to question 1 is that I would focus mostly on the male and only a small amount of time on the female. But I would sometimes focus on the females and as I mentioned 25% of my overall porn use was lesbian porn so it's safe to say I wasn't focusing on a guy during these videos.

The answer to the second question is that I would almost always watch anal porn and would frequently be drawn to and enjoy the more 'extreme' and 'fetish' type videos. I know that there is a big difference between porn and real life and I have taken significant steps in my life to separate the two. I feel doing so is vital to understanding, accepting and enjoying my sex life, whatever that may turn out to be. I feel like a lot of the porn I was watching was almost specifically designed for people like me. Aiming to blur the lines between sexuality as much as possible. Heterosexual people in heterosexual settings doing homosexual things. It's a complete mind f**k.

I'm now completely unaware of what I will actually like in real life but I find it hard to believe that I will find myself a women who would like any of the more extreme/fetish sex that I have become accustomed to online. I know that in a world of 7 billion, these women do exist, but how do you even broach the subject. Of course there's every chance of my partner being uninterested if I was in a same sex relationship as well but it feels like this route would be a more likely way to find a partner with similar desires. (I'm not just talking specifically about anal here - I think it's quite obvious that I would find more partners into anal when looking at gay guys than straight women lol BUT just more 'extreme' sex in general.

My question is to guys who have had similar experiences with porn use. I know there are a lot of recurring themes among those who have had particular trouble with porn and possible porn addiction. How did your porn tastes translate into real life and visa versa?
