According to that test I am non-sexual. Not sure what that means.

I got 3 over here. No comment on whether that's accurate cos the fact is I don't know XD

I know it's not really serious, but it does strike me as a bit of a crude test... like, quite a few of the questions can be answered more than 2 ways.

Here's information about the Kinsey scale The Kinsey Institute - Kinsey Sexuality Rating Scale.

There is no official Kinsey test according to the Kinsey Institute, the research institute at Indiana University where Dr. Kinsey did his work. The test the OP mentions is for entertainment purposes only. Anecdotally, many folks report that this test scores 1 point lower than how they self-identify, that is, people who identify as Kinsey 5 often score 4 on the online test.

The following test anecdotally scores closer to the truth, so it's a better one to start with until you get to a place where you can self-rate using the definitions.

Where Do You Fall On The Kinsey Scale

    Enjoy!

I'm about a Kinsey 2. I can find anyone sexy regardless of gender, basically, but girls don't stir up as many romantic currents in me, usually.

For gender I put male, and I got exclusively heterosexual, I'm sure it'd be opposite if I selected female.

On this one, I got mostly homosexual.
    You got: Mostly homosexual.
You’re mostly gay, but maybe you haven’t always been. You find yourself attracted to members of the same sex as your own, but not exclusively. You can’t say for sure that you’ll always identify as a homosexual, but you definitely do for now. You’re sexuality is more fluid than most.

I'm a 4 after realising my gender; actually pretty accurate I like girls more than guys but both are good.

I just noticed a flaw in this second test :frowning2: It doesn't score 0...6. It combines Kinsey 4 and 5 into the "Mostly homosexual" category (and combines Kinsey 1 and 2 into "Mostly heterosexual"). So this test is has it's own set of issues.

So the first test http://vistriai.com/kinseyscaletest/ can score 1 point lower than how many people self-identify based on anecdotal evidence, that is, people who identify as Kinsey 5 often score 4 on the online test.

The second test doesn't score 0...6.

I guess our search for the perfect unofficial Kinsey test continues.

The test failed to match you to a Kinsey Type profile. Either you answered some questions wrong, or you are a very unusual person.
    What the fuck?

I feel like with the test you're better off thinking about which most applies to you instead of relying on what the test says, especially since there's a lot of vague answers. Like on the buzzfeed one, the way they rely on who you're friends with it weird and not very relevant in my opinion. I think I'm 5 or above, and usually get 5/6 or 'unspecified' as my answer, but sexuality is complicated.

This was possibly the most concise, easy-to-answer version of this test I've seen...and it nailed me as a Kinsey 4, which is dead-on correct.

    I got a 6.

I always wonder about how much these tests are just "self-fulfiling prophecy". I think we often times have an answer in mind already and as the test goes we just gradually shape it to what we've felt all along. So in that sense it loses some objectivity, in the sense that it's not really the test revealing anything but its about being confronted directly with it. I don't mean to say that we're choosing our answer, make no mistake. I mean that we learn more about ourselves by simply answering the questions than the actual results themselves.

Or maybe I'm overthinking it and this is just a dumb test to take for fun

Predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual. I'd say that's is a good reflection

    Same here.

I'm left wondering what answering wrong means.

    Got a 5, I'm a 6 in reality.

The test isn't very accurate, so I wouldn't rely on it. What do the porn, threesomes, and sexually submissive questions have do with actual sexualities?? I'd be grossed out if two ladies asked me to have a threesome with them, but that doesn't make me 'a little attracted to men' or 'a little bit asexual'. Needs better questions.
