Well, until recently, I've been very certain of my bisexuality. Lately though I've been considering things more and have decided that I am uber confused.

I'm not attracted, and can't see myself being attracted to the average guy. By this I mean people I know in real life; almost every single guy I know (with very few exceptions) I wouldn't ever consider dating or a romantic relationship. The only guys I find myself attracted to are from porn, and I always choose the vids with larger beefier guys. I'm 19, so perhaps the body type isn't there in my age group, which would explain my lack of attraction to guys I know, but I'm not sure.

But the case is almost the opposite for girls. I find girls very attractive and know many that I would happily be in a relationship with. If you were to put statistics into it, I'd honestly say that I'd find about 1% of guys attractive, and around 50-60% of girls attractive.

I only watch gay porn and can't get myself off to lesbian porn. I don't find it appealing in the slightest, and if I were to switch to straight I'd just be focussing on the guy anyway.

tl;dr don't find 99% of guys attractive, but sexually prefer guys. Find most girls attractive, but not as sexually attracted to them as guys.

What I'm kind of asking is a classification of some sort. What is my sexuality? Bisexual kind of suggests equal attraction to both genders, and that doesn't really seem to fit with me. Help guysssss

Hey Someguy, welcome. You're in the right place.

First thing I would like to say is that being bisexual definitely doesn't mean an equal 50-50 split. Lots of bisexual people experience difference in their attraction. I certainly do. It can change from day to day. I tend to think a lot more about one gender when I am attracted to one particular person in real life and I often go weeks thinking mostly about one or the other. My underlying attraction remains constant I guess so regardless of what I'm thinking about at the time I would always be equally attracted to someone new that I met whether they are a girl or a guy. There would be no difference in how attracted I am to them just depending on how I'm feeling at the time I may be more or less likely to notice a male or female.

Your comments on who you notice in real life were very interesting to me. I am literally exactly the same right down to the percentages you put on it and the kind of guys you may actually be attracted to. The only difference is that I only watch straight porn. Lesbian porn maybe 20% of the time. Gay porn does very little for me. I must point out that I spend a lot of time focusing on guys when I'm watching straight porn. Anyway, not much I can advise in this regard I just find the relationship between porn and sexual orientation very interesting.

As for your real question, what am I, I'm going to say probably bisexual. That's my opinion based on the little info I have but all I have to go on is spending 2 minutes reading your post. I know from personal experience that 18 months worth of constant thinking hasn't been enough to work out my own sexuality so I doubt I can work out yours in 2 minutes  The real answer is only you will know. Which isn't very useful. I could go with the standard 'labels don't matter, just relax, you'll work it out in time' kind of answer. It's all true but I know how frustrating it can be not being certain. I'll end by saying you sound a lot like me and I think I'm bisexual so I'm going to say the same for you.

Good luck working it out. Make the most of this forum, it can be very useful.

Thank you for such an awesome response that really put a smile on my face. I guess you're right, I probably am bisexual, but it's just so confusing sometimes!
