Can you provide just a bit more of information like how you feel about one sex vs. the other sex and the like? Knowing how you feel about the sexes can often reveal what you truly are. I know you said you are shy but please also know that it's hard to provide advice going off of one sentence of information.

But I recommend looking within you, then within the past experiences with boys; and girls. Do you happen to fantasize? What parts really turns you on? Fun little thing to do is look through your search history, do you mostly look up men; or women?
Whilst I'm no expert one of my personal cue's is,
Imagine having an intimate relationship with someone, how would you connect emotionally, physically, and mentally. Does gender come into play?
Ultimately experiment.
