I've seen the term "aesthetic attraction" floating around and being used on this website for quite some time so today I decided to Google it but the blog post I read about it was incredibly confusing to me. I don't know whether I'm being really dense but I don't understand it. Once I dug deeper, it appeared somehow more complicated than I thought. What does aesthetic attraction mean? And how is it different to other types of attraction?
I saw this analogy once, it's weird, but I find it works. It's like a flower, flowers can be really pretty, but nobody thinks sexually about a flower
It means you find someone good looking. 100% of all human beings feel aesthetic attraction to men and women to some extent, but what a lot of people on this site don't understand is that it doesn't affect your sexuality or your number on the kinsey scale. For example, if a lesbian feels aesthetic attraction to men, she is still a kinsey 6 as long as it stops there. She has to be open to either sexual fantasies, sexual experiences, or romantic experiences with the opposite sex to be kinsey 5, but it would not be enough to the extent of a bisexual. I feel aesthetic attraction to babies, kitties, and my sister, but I am not a pedophile, zoophile, or incestuous
What the other people say, except I admit that I have had sexual thoughts about a good looking book before. XD Jk... maybe.
Sorry for replying so late guys (I've had a busy week) but thank you for explaining that for me. You summed it up very clearly and nicely in a few lines haha
Misread the title as "Atheistic attraction" and was confused for a second. I can understand both aesthetic attraction and atheistic attraction.
