Since men are either conditioned or wired to be strait forward, and sex can be perceived in an on or off way as opposed to the vagaries of relationship, if a man is more sexually satisfied with other men regardless of what he feels romantically or relationship wise,
    He has to be gay...

For women i conjecture it's the opposite, woman are either innately or conditioned to value "relationship" and ambiguities and feelings.... So they self label based on romantic or relationship....

The bisexual whose more romantic with one sex and perhaps more "purely sexual" with the other is either going to
    A) chose the label based on what is gender appropriate..(a woman who is sexually more aroused by men but romantically or relationship wise into women more will tend to self label as gay).

    B) chose a label that goes against the "normal" gender priorities, (the above women would call herself straight).

    C) chose a more complex label which validates both forms of attraction...(the above woman is "bisexual, a homo romantic heterosexual, etc....

Note..... This prob is greatly difficult for men as ambiguity or multi facetedness is viewed as,
(and by many felt to be, in masculine..
