He's the first person in my family to know. He lives on the other side of the country, so I texted him. Currently waiting for his response. I'm having a panic attack, I'm breaking down...he and I are quite close and I think he's accepting of the LGBT community. Can anyone help me feel better as I wait? Also: my mom hates gays/transgenders, so...I hope he doesn't tell. :bang:
Good luck! I know waiting for a reaction can be very hard, but if you are confident that he will be accepting, it should go well. If he wasn't prepared for what you told him, it may take him a while to respond, since he'll need time to process it. As far as him not telling your mom, you should probably just text him your wishes along those lines. He SHOULD respect that this is your personal and private information and only you can decide when and to whom you wish to Come Out.
