Forgive me for the sort-of long read, but this is some kind of "game" I'm letting you guys and gals on. A month ago I told my mother I want a new name. I love the name "Simon" but she says she will only accept a name that can be given a nickname. That kind of angered me, but I think she should have a say, as my mother. I made a game out of choosing my name, though it's not really a fun one, but I need you people's opinions and suggestions. So here are the rules: 1. It has to be easy to give it a nickname. 2. It must sound good in English and in French (I live a bilingual life). 3. It must be a name someone from Canada might be called (so nothing too foreign-sounding). So, yeah. I already have Gabriel and Rafael in my options, so please don't waste time suggesting those. If you're wondering about the foreign name part: My parents are pure French Canadians and would not have named me something like "Takeshi". Thank you in advance, my friends. ^_^
I really like the name Brendon, I don't know if there's a nickname for that really but it's definitely a smexy man name. ^_^
Some names that come to mind are Dylan, Raymond, Benjamin, Samuel, Edmond (although that might be too European ), Michael, Johnathan...
I don't know why but I thought of the name Sydney and then nick name Syd. or Kaleb and the name Kal or Kale. both random, but what the heck. Good luck.
