Hi everyone I am new here, but anyway let's go straight to what I came for. I am 19 years old (20 in a month), since 2 or 3 years I am having this thoughts bout being gay and liking guys. I haven't got a girlfriend yet because I am shy. Since that 2 or 3 years I started to watch gay porn out of curiosity and I liked it. Now more than 80% of the porn I watch is gay porn. This year I tried to have sex with a guy I met online (he was my neighbor so that scared me off) so I didn't do anything, but I still have those things in my mind. I don't know, I'm gay? Thanks in advance.
Nobody but you can tell you if you're gay. A lot of people go through a questioning phase and they end up still being straight, but a lot of people also figure out they're gay or some sort of queer. You're at an age (me too, I'm only 20) where it's perfectly normal to experiment and test the waters. If you enjoy having sex with men and/or looking at gay porn, that's great, and it doesn't have to mean you're gay (unless you want it to). You don't need to be in a rush to label yourself. You'll figure it out eventually, and labels are not the be all and end all or however that saying goes.
Thanks for the reply. I understand that I am the one who can tell if I am gay or not, but I am so confused that is why I came here to look for advices. I hope that soon this end and I can decide everything. One question, what is a queer?
Queer's just another synonym for gay. It used to be derogatory - well, it's still a little bit so - but we're claiming the word for ourselves with gusto! Like Sandsworn said, no one can tell you if you're gay but yourself. You could be bi, pan, or simply questioning as well. It's whatever you feel comfortable with calling yourself, whatever you feel is you. Don't stress too much about it, no matter what. Your sexuality is only a small part of who you are, and you don't have to figure that part out right away. ~Sunshine
