When you are in public or watch a movie or look at a photo, anything that has both males and females in it, WHICH one do you notice and does it correlate with your sexual orientation?
    Thank you!

I notice guys first, which corresponds to my being gay.

I notice females, even before I realized I was a lesbian.

The one who's most prominently or weirdly displayed I think.

Anyone want to chime in? This has caused me much confusion because I thought I'm a lesbian, yet girls don't come to my view that naturally, in fact, it would guys that come into my view more often.
Look at this from Kathy Belge:
You Might Be a Lesbian If...

I can somewhat relate. Especially recently this has been happening. However, when I look at guys it's sometimes more like "Gee, he looks pretty damn cool (in an aesthetic/artistic sense)." or "Why can't I look cool/manly like that?" Sometime's it's as simple as "I like this guy's beard for some obscure reason."

But, one thing I know about myself is that I don't particularly feel the need to ogle/stare at women all the time. I personally don't understand why people do that in general, with men or women. However, when I notice a girl that I find really attractive or I want to know her, I really notice her. It's like getting hit with a train that has a whistle saying "Pay attention to THIS particular person."

So yeah, I can relate to your confusion a bit.

I look at guys more because, well, i'm attracted to them. But I also feel more like I wish I could hang out with them as friends and/or look like them. Which corresponds to me being a gay FTM  (Who wishes he had more guy friends...)

I did not start looking at both men and women until I started questioning, before then I would only look at men if I felt like I met them before, or had a shirt that I was wearing. At the time I exclusively checked out women. These days; I check both because I want to see if I am, and so far; none.

    Women, and I prefer girls.

My perception is all over the place. In photos or videos I look at women more when they are clothed, and the man more when the are naked. Sometimes I look at women as "hot", but sometimes they are just nice to look at, as in I recognize their beauty, but don't feel an overwhelming desire to have sex with them. Guys on the other hand I find way more appealing with their clothes off, but clothes on the can be sort of boring.

    I'm messed up ha ha.
