    Please be nice wander.

kay martini my fwend, this is actually how I came out. I gave my mum a letter and it pretty much said this.

    "Dear Mum and dad.
Don't freak out and don't treat me different or I'll be really pissed at you. You're not the kind of parents who freak out easily.

I'm gay. It's not a phase, I've known a long time. I just didn't have the courage to tell you earlier.

I'm happy to answer any questions you have.
    Love
    tess."

just keep it short and simple and sweet and yourself.

    I THOUGHT YOUR PARENTS KNEEWW!!!

    Oh well. Good Lucksi!!

Hmm. . .maybe something like this:

    Hey Mum,

Well, I know things have been different for a while now. . .and maybe you may have caught on. You see, what I'm trying to say is that me and my girlfriend that I have not told you about are aborting our baby and will do so tomorrow. Don't worry, everything will be fine, she has already told me that though it is certain she will die during the procedure, to carry on with my own life. I think we all need to do that. . .

    -Martin

P.S. Actually, that was all a joke; and by the way, I'm gay.

Now we're on to spoof letters?

    Dear Mum,

You know how you say we have lots in common? Well we both like cock. The only difference is that they don't go up the same hole (well maybe they do, I'm not aware of your sexual activities thankfully). If you haven't realised already, I am gay. Why? After birth being squeezed out of the ladylips was enough to traumatise me and I have no desire to go back for round two. I guess you will just have to get used to it. You can't get rid of me now as I'm much too tall to be put back up there. MWAH!

    From Martin.

    I like it.

  5. That's more like it. I was expecting something like that from you.

Hahaha that's the sort of letter my siblings or I could probably get away with. Mum's used to our rather warped humour, which we get from Dad!

Haha, there you go Martin. We knew you'd come up with something great. Best idea so far, no contest. Just trying to picture my mom's reaction to that... I'm sure there'd be tears! LOL.

:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao: I LOVE it, your mum probably won't but that depends on her sense of humour. 'Ladylips' never heard it called that LOVE IT!

36 hours to go now!!!! Have you thought any more about the letter yet?

I do like the "we both like cock" one, but I don't think she will.

She would find it amusing after a while, but for an actual coming out letter then it's not ideal. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm going to be drafting it tomorrow. I purposely did my psychology work today so that I would have all of tomorrow to draft the letter. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm also going to be putting on my nail biting varnish so my nails don't feel the wrath of my teeth. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    .

Here is my first attempt at it. It took me 15 minutes just to type "Dear Mum", but you may notice bits and pieces from the suggested letters.

Edit: Yes, I originally posted in the wrong thread. Shoot me. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Re: .

Apart from that bit I think your letter is really great. This phrase is a bit harsh and could seem like a threat to your parents if they don't jump up and down with joy after reading your letter. Do you see what I mean?

Aye, you're the second person who has told me to tone down that part. :astonished:

Much better, I would end with 'we can work together on this' rather than 'it will only work if you want it to' which rather puts the blame on them, even if they are trying, but don't come to full acceptance a quickly as you would like them to.
