I guess I never really considered the fact I might like guys until within the last year. I at least thought I was attracted to women my whole life only up until the point where I had a fantasy about being in a polygamous relationship with a straight woman and a bisexual guy. My attraction for men has come to my attention only recently as in the past 3-4 months. Before I had recognized any attraction to men, I fantasised about being penetrated by a woman with a strap-on. My fantasies involving men are with me being the bottom. Is it possible I might be gay? I honestly would rather be gay, but I'm still unsure because I do have at least SOME attraction to women, although whether it is sexual is still unclear. I have tried to watch gay porn, and it didn't turn me on. I find the idea of being with a man enticing though. Is it abnormal for my attraction to show up so late if I am gay? (I'm 17 BTW) Can anyone relate?
I can't relate because that's not happening to me, but I can tell you that it's not abnormal. Many LGBT people only find out their sexual orientation/gender identity when they are very old. By what you said, you could be a bisexual(with preferem e for men) or a gay man. If you get aroused or not by porn is usually not a very good indicator for your sexuality, at least not for women, not sure about men though.
I agree with Nightdream. "So late" is not right. You live in a society where heterosexuality is the norm. Thus, realising you might be attracted to guys (too) at the age of 17, is not strange or late at all. And porn doesn't define your sexuality properly. E.g. some people are gay but they don't like porn at all.
17 isn't late by any means. I knew I liked sex with other guys younger than that, but never admitted I was gay until I was in my 20s... But that was over 20 years ago and the world was a far different place. You are right in the cusp of when most people discover who they are. I would say you were quite normal and not to worry about it...
