What does your username on here mean?

Wow, that's kind of awesome CBA!
Mine is also backwards…the nick is just a shortened version of a word that has to do with my spirituality and the forest (I've always been a tree-lover) and coincidentally it also has to do with my favorite hobby-so that word is extremely ME…the numbers are just me trying to be me, every day! Backwards and forwards. Whoever that is

 

A pen name and a name I just like using. A little androgynous, leaning towards masculine. I like it.

 

Mine is just my name + 505, as in one of my favorite songs (if you haven't heard it, then you have been living under a very boring rock and you should listen to it)

 

I suppose it could mean Child of Neko(Cat) (ko is also generally Feminine in names, not always though) but its actually just from a Nickname my friend gave me based on my handle from another forum we were both on. I went by Nekomata which means fork tailed cat, its a mythical Japanese demon cat that's tail slowly divided down the middle until it had two full sized tails.

 

Interesting. Because if you put the "ko" in front of the word, you get "koneko" which means "kitten"

 

I've never liked nicknames, so I've always put my first name in my usernames somehow. Thus, Ashe. Since EC wants people to use unique usernames, I used my old username that I used to use before I started going by Ashe, but simply replaced Patrick with Ashe. The Human I got from my favorite cartoon, Adventure Time (with Finn the Human) and favorite video game franchise, Sonic The Hedgehog.

 

Mine are the 2 things that make me the happiest. both are self explanatory.

 

Quem is Portuguese and means "who". It refers to me, wondering who I am, what categories I fit it, etc. I used a Portuguese name, because not many would notice, just like in real life.. We keep wondering but not many notice.

 

Well yeah like I said it was a nickname I just gave it a rough translation since it was sort of made up xD

 

I'm bisexual and I like shoegaze music quite a bit. That's it really.

 

Mine means nothing.

For some reason I was paranoid that I would be recognised, so I randomly chose a letter. Because I couldn't think of anything, I put cd. But because that isn't very long, I changed it to ccdd - so it's basically an alphabet thing.

So my username doesn't mean anything, but it is testament to the fear I felt at the time.

 

Oh, and mine is a superhero character from South Park. I'm a huge South Park fan, I think Mintberry Crunch is awesome and adorable, and I had just seen the Coon Trilogy episodes before joining, hence the username

Yossarian: The lead character in Joseph Heller's novel, "Catch-22". Everyone around Yossarian is some kind of crazy, and Yossarian feels that he is the only one who isn't. Sort of like the homophobic world we all live in, where a lot of people act crazy regarding other people's sexuality, which actually has little effect, if any, on them at all.

 

I chose this username because it's true. Nobody knows me. Nobody. Nobody in real life, and nobody online. Sure, people know my name, people talk to me, you know, they know who I am, they know a bit about me, but nobody really knows me. Nobody knows what I really think, feel, and am. Because they don't try to know. I'm not usually one to talk to people very often, and I like to keep to myself. I don't like becoming close with people or caring for them too much, out of fear that I'll somehow lose them. So I tend to avoid people. Those I do talk to, they still don't really know me. Nobody does. And I don't think anyone ever will.

 

Mine has a very deep meaning I bet nobody will get it.

 

Pi is a number that used to fascinate me when I was younger, to the point where I decided to learn a few decimals by hearth: 3.1415926535897932384626... I also like maths and science and apple pies so I thought it was appropriate.

 

Wow, that's a really lovely story behind what I would have previously considered a simple username.

Mine is a name that I used to use for an online character - and I felt it fitting to use the name here because it was the first time that I can point to as an indication of my gender. The females on the game were grossly oversexualized or feminine, and the men had an androgynous look to them. I thought, "Wow, I wish I looked like that." And then proceeded to name the character a more androgynous version of the username I'd used before that. Kayta.

Ridiculously geeky, but there ya go.

 

I couldn't think of a username so I just used a line from the song I was listening to at the time:

I think it suits me rather well. Don't know why, but it works
