Don't really believe in all that stuff.

But if it exists, I hope there's a lot of hot guys and free vodka there.

There's no afterlife. The idea that a person's mind could be preserved without a brain is, frankly, ridiculous.

No, dying is sad, but it makes sense. You can come to terms with it, and understanding the transience of life can help you make it more meaningful.

As much as I'd like there to be an afterlife I accept that there is a 99,9% chance that there isn't as just the very idea of it is highly illogical.

I believe there is a continuation of some kind beyond this life, but that's as far as it goes. I don't set about imagining what it might be like (even though my religion paints a somewhat fluffy picture).

I very much agree with the sentiments expressed by Quem about making the best of this life. I'm afraid some people seem more fixated on what might happen after this life - I find that rather sad.

I believe that our conscience is a perception we have of how our brain works. Since it's the brain working when you die (when you whole body ceases activity for good) your consciousness is gone. No brain, no conscience. Our dead physical body (the only thing we truly have) is all that's left. We don't transcend into anything.

I think that death is a wonderful opportunity for us to finally be whatever we want to be. As of yet no one has been able to prove what happens when we die so the way I see it we can believe whatever the hell we want. I have a list of all the things I want to do when I die.

    1) Save a bunch of people in GoT with an army of LotR style rangers
    2) Save a bunch of people in GoT with a Theoden style cavalry charge
    3) Save a bunch of people in GoT with Twisted Fate style magicy powers
    4) Have sex with a bunch of people from GoT without fear of the nasties that come from unprotected sexy time
    5) Be a Woman for a bit
    6) Go to the first day of the trenches and tell the British to run, not walk!
    7) Win the US war of indipendence for Britain and save the native americans (I love the idea of two spirit)
    8) Give future technology to past Britain and ensure the future dominance of the British Empire
    9) Live in a normal style world but with super powers
    10) live in a normal style world with a pet Dragon
    11) live in a normal style world with my Constellation from SC
    You get the idea...

basically death is coming for us all and I see no reason to make that a scary prospect, Might aswell look forward to it!

That said we should try to make the most of this life. If I am to die, I would have it a death to be proud of after an equally satisfying life.

The moment we die, we will be taken back to the Start screen, which will ask us if we want to start a new playthrough, in INSANE DIFFICULTY LEVEL!
