I told one of my friends At the end of the school day and the next day went kinda like
    Him: what?!
Me: would you like a definition?
    Him: yes actually
Other friend: basically she's that little Mexican girl *mexican accent* why don't we have both.

Its not really a funny response from the person I told... but, well, when I told this one friend of mine it was just me and her walking from school to the shops on the last day of term. We had walked about 60m down the main road when I decided that I was going to say it there and then... so I turned to look at her and the conversation went a bit like this:

    me: Stasia?
    her: yeah.
me: well I was trying to say it all day and um *sneezes*
    her: bless
me: thanks. Well... its been bugging me a*sneezes*while*sneezes*
    her: are you okay?
me: I-I...I'm...don'tthinkI'mstraight *sneezes* *trips over and faceplants the footpath spectacularly"
her: ow your bum! are you okay?
    5 minutes later
her: oh yeah and I meant to say that's cool about earlier. Sorry it was pretty funny when you fell...

She is an absolute legend, that girl!

Not really a coming out, but once I was teasing my (male) friend about liking another one of our friends. He told me he's straight, of course, but it's just fun to tease.

Me: So...H, huh? *elbows, quirks eyebrow*
Him: Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not into dudes.

Being the idiot I am, I thought the others would think I'm jealous (yes, people have teased me for 'liking' him), and almost said,
    "I'm not into dudes either."

Luckily, I caught my words before I could finish my sentence and walked away as quick as possible.

It's pretty funny thinking back on it now.

When I came out my dad as asexual:
Me: Hey dad can I talk to you for second
    Dad: Sure
    Me: I'm asexual
    Dad: your going to hell
Me: do you know what it means
Dad: Yea it means you like girls and guys
Me: No dad it means i don't like anyone
    Dad: You like me
    Me: me not like that.
Mom butts in: Dads name I HOPE SHE DOES NOT LIKE YOU LIKE THAT!
Dad: face gets red and mumbles something then an apology and says that I am not going to hell.

Working on the whole homiphobia thing hes getting better.

Me and my three close friends were in a hotel and I kind of just blurted out - "hey, I like girls, cool?" And my friend gave me a cupcake form room service, stuck a potato chip in it and called it my gay day cupcake.

I couple of weeks ago I was at my friend's house (a guy) for the weekend. We have a habit that we usually stay up until one or two in the morning watching random stuff. Unfortunately, I fell asleep early and I also sleep walk and talk. Bad combination.
In the morning when we were alone again:

    X: You know last night...
    Me: Yeah... What about it?
X: You told me that you found Emma Watson really hot.
    And the awkward silence begins...
Me : Oh yeah? Really. Do you?
X : yes. But stop diverting.
Me :Yeah she is hot. I'm bisexual.
There was actually quite a bit more diverting around the implied question but I'll cut that out. His response was awesome.
X : You Like girls and guys!! That is awesome. You listen classical music(actually I don't, I listen to contemporary instrumental music. There is a difference.), you play cello and trumpet and piano, And you're bi. That is awesome.

We were then watching a dancing show and there was a really hot girl with a sexy salsa dress and he pointed it out to me and winked.
My dad was there and the whole of his family so I was SO revealed when my dad was too engrossed in the dancing to realise that I had almost been pulled out of the closet by my friend.

The whole thing was pretty embarrassing for me. Especially the sleep walking. It is a regular occurrence and my mum had to sellotape the scissors together and lock them away because I went round my room snipping patterns in my curtains and pillow case and duvet cover.:icon_redf

At Ruby Tuesdays with my god-mom ("Gina") and god-cousin ("Jeremy") on my 17th birthday.

Gina: "If you don't tell him, I will."
    Me: "Noooo..." (frozen in fear)
    Gina: "Annabelle is gay."
Jeremy: "I like girls too; pass the mozzarella sticks."

I had a similar response from my other god-cousin ("Joey").

    *Gina blocks the door*

    Gina: "Tell him!"
    Me: "Noooooo...."
Gina: "You know he won't care!"
Me: "Noooooo...." (curls up in a ball on the floor)

*it goes on like that for the first 5 minutes*

    Gina: "Annabelle is gay."
Joey: "You made me pause my movie for that?"

    Her: ummm...I'm bi
    Me: me too!!
Her: wait, wut? Really? Are you bullshitting me right now?
    Me: no, really I am!!
Her: ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!!!! (Suffocates me in hug)

She is now my girlfriend XD

I had a conversation something like this after coming out to one of my female friends.

Me: "(Insert friend's name here), I'm gay."
Her: "Oh my god! Now we can talk about boys together!"

This isn't really coming out, but I was having a conversation with one of my friends who I never see (she doesn't go to my school or anything)

Her: It seems like you used to be really good friends.
    Me: I miss being...friends...with her.
Her: Oh, did you like her as more than a friend?
    Me: Yeah.
    Her: So like a sister?

Well my mom actually asked me which gender I was going to be if I had a relationship with another woman. Now I think she's still hoping I meet a man instead.

My best friend and I had always had a running joke on who got dips on Ellen Page if she ever came to town. My bestie is straight, but she loves Ellen Page as an actress, and she had always thought it was the same to me. It's a bit of an inside joke, but it's really important as when we met we were talking about Ellen Page.

ME: Hey B, I'm not exactly straight...
BF: Damn it! That means you get first shot at Ellen now...

Lol, we're stupid teenagers, but it meant a lot to me :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    ME- yum

Him- so you like dick Idgaf
It was the first time I could tell him I tried about 5 times but chickened back into the closet. Apparently I wasn't obvious
I've only told him about it,

    Out to everyone
I sent the following text to all my brothers and sister. (Background: married to Trish for 28 years, every one assumed that we were the perfect couple)
I’ve decided to tell everyone that I’m gay. Trish has known for the last few years. We have decided to stay together. Don’t tell mam.

My sister’s reaction was to come over and have a long chat, finishing off with a big hug.
In our long chat she told me that when a local kid that came out all the local women were very disappointed - as he would have made a lovely son-in-law. I said he still might, she thought for a second and replied “true, never thought of that..”

I had told my younger brother about a year earlier, in an argument, he was literally speechless for about three hours. When he showed the text to his wife he was given out to for keeping a secret from her.

My older brother generally doesn’t read his text messages, so when I met him the next morning I told him what was in the text. He just said “fine” I asked if he had any questions, he said “no”. Later he phoned our sister and said initially he thought I was going to tell him something serious.

A few days later I phoned my oldest brother, the conversation went like this:
Me: “Did you get my text?”
    Him: “yes”
    Me: “and?”
    Him: “I got your text”
    Me: “what did you think?”
Him: “I was shocked…” said in a way he was very shocked! We then started talking about the schedule for looking after our 92 year old mother. He then finishes off by saying “so anything else strange?”
Me: “I think I’ve used up my quota of strange”

The next time I met every one was at a wedding two months later. The only thing that changed was one of my brother’s wives commented to me on how attractive one of the other male gusts was!

Coming out to my family was a non event as far as every one other than me was concerned.

    Her: I fucking knew it!
All I could do was laugh :')

    My best friend:

I blurted it out and she just looked my dead in the eye and said: "Could you pick up that Phone?"

When I just looked confused and was about to ask what she shouted

    "Because I called it!" Hysterical!

    ---------- Post added 6th Dec 2014 at 03:26 PM ----------

The next day she came up to me with a phone number from a cute guy I knew who asked her to give it too me, only a few days ago, when I asked why she took it she said that she would have given it to me anyway if I hadn't come out sooner or later!
