Neither. It is intriguing to get female metal singers, and they stand out due to their relative rarity - but I don't prefer them any more than male.

I generally listen to more artists and bands with male vocalists.
But overall my number 1 singer is Idina Menzel.
    She is a goddess.

    Definitely male for me!

  7. Honestly, I don't really have any preference, I love both - With Kpop, I just so happen to like more girl groups - But I also like boy groups and I don't consider myself a boy group or girl group stan - It's the same thing with American singers!

I like both. I've heard good songs from both genders and bad songs from both genders. Generally, I like when the male voice is singing deeply and the female voice is singing at a high pitch (not squeaky/chipmunky, though).

Hm... I guess I prefer female singers. All of my favorite singers are girls.

I prefer male vocalists, particularly those who can hit really high notes. I love the kind of theatrical bombast a singer like that brings to the table.

Mostly male singers, particularly those who can do the awesome things that Disturbed and Rob Zombie do, which is growl really really incredibly well.

    BUT.

Otep is openly lesbian and can scream with the best of them.

I'd say 95% of the singers I listen to are male and I generally prefer their voices (being a singer myself). But there are a good dozen female singers I absolutely love. Ann Wilson from Heart, Pamela Moore from Queensryche, Amanda Somerville, Lisa Dal Bello, Pat Benetar, etc.

  15. I don't know why, but I really like female voices when I listen to music for some reason. It seems like most of the music I like was sung and/or performed (instruments) by at least one woman.

I would say at the moment it is male artists as showed on my ipod. By all the artists being predominantly male except Architecture in Helsinki. Soon though I will add the female artists by buying them and then we can compare each gender and get the proper answer then.
