I get nostalgic about places I've been, shows I've watched and music I've heard. I walked by my old primary school recently and saw all the kids playing, and it reminded me of when I was there. Sometimes I wish I could go back.
I always get nostalgic around holidays. Christmas especially, because it doesn't feel as magical as it did when I was little.
I tend to feel cheerfully nostalgic about things 70's, since that's when I was growing up. Music especially can bring back strong memories and emotions of old friends and experiences. "Wish you were here" almost always makes me cry, thinking of some long-lost friend.
The simplest thing; a playground. I miss how it was the best thing you could have EVERYDAY during recess. The liberation from confusing academia and stuffy, glue-scented rooms, is something that overwhelms me with delight. It was the place you could be as goofy and quirky as you wanted and imagine outlandish games. Music does as well because I recall how I jammed to it hard and constantly replayed it till I was sick of it lol.
I have Nostalgia for Infinity! However, I would never want to be *in* the Nostalgia for Infinity because it's terrifying and I'm afraid of killer cyborgs.
I get nostalgic about video games. I can often remember periods of my life based on what games I was playing at the time.
I feel nostalgic when I go to certain places, especially if it's been years since I've been there and/or if they've had a strong impact on my early childhood.
I get nostalgic when talking to people whom I haven't seen in quite a while. And I know this is cheesy, but I get major nostalgia when playing Pokemon.
I have "memory drawer" where I keep all of my memorable things in high school. I have there my 1st-4th year high school ID, first artwork my best friend drew for me (a drawing of Drifloon), the novel my best friend and I wrote, etc. I would sometimes open that drawer and just drown myself with nostalgia.
I get nostalgic thinking about my elementary and middle school life, and reflect on all the fun things I did. I also get nostalgic when I listen to music because I have all my favorite video game songs on my iPod and any other songs from nostalgic times on there.
There are certain songs that bring tears to my eyes since the first chord. It's music mostly. Or to walk through certain streets I've been with someone.
All the time. ALL the time! So much so, I can't sleep anymore. I always feel depressed, and like I have never belonged on this planet.
