movies - moments of great self sacrifice... opening scene of saving private ryan, fighter jet taking the missile meant for Air Force One in that movie.

real life - when someone breaks my heart, disappoints me greatly, breaks my trust, missing people I invested my feelings in...

Moving art--television, music, movies...sad deaths, sad goodbyes, powerful love scenes. I've noticed that I get moved to tears too easily sometimes lol

With my mood swings, sometimes anything does it, sometimes nothing does. Sometimes I heard a death of a relative and I can't even pretend to cry. Sometimes I was just listen to a song and suddenly tears everywhere.

And when I bottle things up to the point when I explode in tears, usually tears of relief.

Usually anything that makes me sad just causes me to withdraw rather than cry.
Though (oh boy this will sound odd) the smell of cigarette smoke and my family being angry with me are two things that always break me down.

Scenes where people die in movies. Also sometimes really touching stories of people doing nice things for others.

    This, so much.

Speaking of the bolded, it reminded me of this song from the original season of Pokémon. They played it fairly often to end an episode when the group said their farewells, and it doesn't ever seem to fail at making me want to tear up for some reason:

There is soooooo much I could say about this, but... I'd be beating a dead horse. Sadly, this guy isn't even the worst. He's the most balanced of them all, actually... yeah, let that sink in...

I rarely cry but when I do it's usually either my anxiety/depression acting up or if I watch a movie where someone/something dies.

Coldplay's "Paradise". It was the day after my uncle's funeral 3 years ago, and it came on the radio just as the sun was peeking through the clouds as I was driving home from work. I cry every time it plays when I am driving because it makes me think of him.

Then again, I also have depression. I tend to cry at least every other day.

I don't cry that much due to real life events anymore. I cry a lot due to movies though, but only to scenes that are a tad bit too much, like the ending to "Butterfly Effect". And then I mean the directors cut D:

I haven't cried in ages. I wish I could just let it out because sometimes I feel like I need to just have an "ugly cry."

Every year after our annual dance recital we scream like crazy as soon as the stage curtain closes and then we start crying uncontrollably. It's a tradition. We have to leave the theatre with mascara running down our cheeks, otherwise we're not satisfied. It's magical, though.

There is only one time I ever cry and that is when I see my friends sad or crying. Other than that I find it hard to cry. I do not care what happens to me, but if my friends are hurt angry or upset, I will be upset and sad.
