Honestly, children's books without LGBT censorship are exactly what kids need so that we aren't seen as "freaks" as the bigots like to think we are.
If kids aren't taught only about straight relationships, and cisgender life; they don't hear about anything otherwise until they get to about middle school or so, when kids find out there's something different that they can pick on others about; and they end up being "educated" on the subject by their peers who don't know about it either, and just repeat things they hear others say, often negative.

I don't think there would a "closet" if children were educated young on the subject, so they don't have to go through their entire childhood thinking things only happen one way, and anything outside of that they are taught is either nonexistent or "bad"

    In the end...

What could be wrong with gaining knowledge and information?
Isn't that one of the dominant purposes of a library?

There's nothing wrong with gaining knowledge and information; these parents are just idiots.

They're freaking kids' books! Innocent little stories with no more ill intent than a Disney movie! Is acceptance such a horrible message?

People don't just want to accept the changes in today's society and teach them to the younger ones .H.

That's pretty fucked up in my opinion.

I tried to set foot in the library as little as possible, because I've always been a technical reference reader, and not a fiction reader. Libraries are still the source for fiction.

Parents should not be getting any arbitrary thing they want, especially insulating their children from exposure to things they need to survive, like the knowledge that they aren't alone.

When you don't have a grasp on human sexuality you think things like children's books can 'turn' a child gay this is a result of ignorance nothing more

Official: " no Ma'am I can assure you that we have the zone quarantined *walkie talkie crackle* Sergeant, we have to pull out a pair of children's book from the library, they contain contaminants of the gay"

LGBT+ people are not a disease! and people need to stop treating us as such.
