Yep, I remember to put sunscreen on my feet when I'm gonna be out for a while in them. I notice people with major flip-flop tans, so I'm guessing they don't use any.

Also, we have similar-looking avatars

I hate the ones that have the strap between the big / index toe. Ones with a strap I wear often and are great for summer for running outside the house for a minute.

I'll only wear them at a pool.

That's why I bought a cheap set at the tourist street in Akihabara, rather than an expensive pair at an actual shop.

I don't mind flip flops but the noise they make becomes irritating.

Same here, massive foot fetish so I like it when other guys with nice feet wear them in the summer. Something to look at.

    ---------- Post added 3rd Jul 2015 at 02:00 PM ----------

Having a foot fetish I do like to see others wear them in the summer but not all the time, not at work or school, not in the fall, put shoes on and leave something to the imagination.

Personally I never wear them but then again I have a foot fetish so I won't show my feet in public.

I wear them on occasion, not all the time. I don't love them but I also don't hate them.

If there's no snow on the ground and there's not a torrential downpour, then I am wearing flip-flops.

Well, I personally hate them, I never wear them and never will but since I have a foot fetish for women only I like seeing women wearing them.

So true. It also depends on what type of surface someone is walking on and also on how deliberate a person's steps are when walking around in flip flops. I'm not saying a person should be "a little light in their loafers" (I'm joking) but too much is too much.

I'm somewhere between ok and love them. I do wear them a lot. They're perfect casual wear for summer: jeans, a t-shirt, and flip flops. I'm wearing them right now.

I put neutral. I DO wear them sometimes, for example, to a pool or the beach. I also wear them if I'm walking in my backyard for a second and have a pair sitting in the garage near the door so I do not have to go out barefoot (or take the time to put shoes on). However, I avoid them in most other contexts. Being in California, I see them quite often even when people are not necessarily at the beach (i.e. school). I don't really love them but I don't hate them. I know the noise you are talking about but I never notice it really in most contexts. Maybe most people don't have proper fitting sandals?

I don't mind them on others, but I have REALLY unattractive feet. A combination of bad genetics, damage to the nail beds from accidents growing up, and a few other things. I don't like exposing my feet at all. It's a shame trigger for me so I obviously don't want to wear flips flops.

I don't like flip-flops. I can't really complain about noise people make with flip-flops, because I'm thundering around with my work shoes.

I think that flip-flops automatically make your feet look feminine which I can't stand so yeah... Also having stuff between my toes = Nope.

I'm lucky if I can even find a pair of normal shoes I can walk in comfortably/without tripping over! On the rare occasions I go to a beach I prefer barefoot if it's not too pebbley. Wet sand is one of the few types of ground I can walk easily on so it's quite comfortable underfoot, some years ago I went and was actually able to semi-run on it (something that is not possible for me usually), so I wouldn't waste the oppourtunity by wearing less than practical footwear. They look ok visually on others I suppose.
