If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be?

Including things not controlled by me?

I wish my friend decided to say in school. I miss hanging out everyday, but that would be cruel because she didn't like her program.

 

Moving to this stupid-ass small town. There's nothing here; it's a dead cityvillage and I'm stuck here because I can't afford a car without having a job, of which there are none. It's a vicious cycle and I hate it. Can't get a job without a car, can't afford to get a car without a job.

I would have never moved here if I had known I'd end up stuck here with no way out.

 

Two things come to mind...

-To embrace and kiss someone the last time I saw him alive, and I didn't do it because, you know, men are not supposed to show emotions...

-To transition.

The rest... I'm fine with it, really.

 

things i would have changed...

My lesbian friend maria from not leaving me- she would have been a big help with me.
Moving to so many schools- it's better if you just stay in one, but i was that one kid.
My (hopefully dead and buried) anger management problems- i used to have serious ones, just like my dad.

 

To tell my younger self repeatedly that I am the best the way I am and hence not try to fit in.

 

Confessing so...madly to the person I liked, losing contact with him, deleting his number, and not standing up to my bullies earlier.

 

I would rather be born in another country, like Sweden or Netherlands.

 

Try to turn the relationship with my friend in jr. high and high school from friends with benefits to boyfriend.

Transitioning as a teenager.

 

14th February 2013.

 

I would go back in time and take away the sadness i felt and the pain i caused so i could be more body confident and adventurous today.

 

I would not have spent 3/4 of my time in college refusing to do anything social. That's not a very big regret, though, so I'd say I've had a fairly good life.

 

College choice, without a doubt. I certainly picked the wrong school for the wrong reasons and it caused a lot of other things in my life to go wrong.

However, we can't regret the past and have to focus on the present.

 

I would have sped up with my fishing spinner and then would have tried my best to hook into my first 6lb wild Irish Atlantic salmon.

 

Being born.

Having the emotional fortitude to question my gender before my mid-20s.

 

Probably just starting school all over. Changing the events that took place.
