Hello. So I recently bought two music bow ties. I really like them and can't wait to wear them, but my brother was complaining that "women don't wear bow ties". I haven't come out, but I believe women can wear bow ties. Not hair bow ties. Bow ties around your neck. They are really pretty. Would people judge me for wearing a bow tie when they don't know I'm androgyne and think I'm female? Would they think I'm lesbian? Thanks for any response .

    Hey Niko,
Well I have been told that I look like a lesbian, in my school uniform which has a tie. But like I have no clue what other people think. Just wear it and don't care what other people think. Be you and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, cause you are amazing.
Plus I think Bow Ties are awesome. Look at Ashley Mardell with long hair and a Bow Tie, okay yeah she is Pan but she doesn't look it, this is stereotypically.
Hope this helps, it might not though. I am hopeless at this advice stuff.

Thank you . I want to wear it to my music concert. I am going to ask my music teacher if that's okay. I think I know who that is. Not 100% sure. I recognize the name.

And it is. Thanks for it .

Anyone can rock a bow tie..
And don't let anyone tell you otherwise..
He clearly doesn't see that clothes are genderless

Bow ties are one of the world's best accessories in my opinion, so if you want to wear one go for it.

The 11th Dr. Who says bow ties are cool. That's is all there ever needs to be said about that.

Thanks everyone. Maybe I have been thinking of what my brother said too much. I really like them and one of my friends did too. Here are pictures of the bow tie designs I ordered. Sadly, the company says they are for men though :frowning2:.

Thanks everyone. I know I need to buy some collar shirts for them because I want to wear them more often. What colours would match with the pictures above (one is black and white, the other is black with rainbow music notes)? Any advice for this would be great too. I want to wear the bow ties. They are pretty .

Most neutral toned colours would work with them: black, white, grey, blue, or light/pastel/aged versions of other colours.

The rainbow one could go with a shirt matching any of the rainbow colours.

For me bow ties are sexy on women only...I don't know why xD. I mean, I won't turn down guy because of how he dresses, but I think a bow tie on a girl is just really attractive and cute <3
