Okay, I think I got what pansexuality is from a different thread. Now, what is queer? Sorry, I'm just new to all these terms.
So queer is just an umbrella term for those who are not straight. Whenever people say they're queer, they're just saying that they don't identify as straight. I have seen people identify as such who don't label themselves as exclusively gay, pansexual, lesbian, etc. so they just say queer. And I think the same would go for genderqueer. I think genderqueer means like you dont identify as one exclusive gender at all times
I think different people see it differently. To me, it's a refusal to conform to norms of what is sexuality and gender etc.
I is queer. Haha, in seriousness, queer is really just a term for anyone who's not straight/cisgender. And, as notmyfault stated, it used to be a slur. I think we've got it back now, though. I don't really hear it used negativley as much anymore, mostly idiots call us bundles of sticks now
