Well that's a rather depressing thing to know. All this mess wouldn't be that hard to handle if that was the case.

It's basically just a giant mess that Cameron has left behind... resulting from the rivalry of two schoolboys. What if Boris had campaigned to Remain? I certainly would like to see him become PM and clean this up now.

It was "a vote to deport anyone who speaks funny" to surprisingly large number of people, unfortunately.

When they learn that the return to pre-Schengen Common Market wasn't ever on the table, that there aren't 350 millions a week for NHS, and that all Leave did was Made England Little Again... I've got no faintest clue what they'll do, but it won't be pretty.

Especially if saner public swings pro-EU in the following months and the new Government quietly burying Article 50 becomes a real political possibility and not basically Europhiles going through the denial stage (I'm still very much there...)

The EU has already said that there is no possibility of Scotland remaining a member of the EU or blocking independence. There shouldn't be any doubt that we're leaving.

I would have seen it sooner but I was too busy having an awkward moment...just to see how it feels.

It's Boris Johnson. Even he himself isn't sure how much of it he actually believes and how much is obfuscation just to appease this or that voting block.

It might be full EEA wrapped in double-talk about "some immigration control" and it might be fully closed borders wrapped in "Oops, sorry, Brussels Bullies didn't go along with our special snowflake demands..." Or something else entirely.

How are EU countries supposed to cap the British Citizens in return?

"Sorry, we ran out of spots for Brits in Spain, try Lithuania or Slovenia instead."

    ???

They won't. I suspect the EU position would be basically "no caps or no deal." And the UK can't afford "no deal," while EU probably can... Barely.

But really, considering that Tories are in disarray right now, Labour is in meltdown and Lib Dems are irrelevant, so there's no one the EU can negotiate with, we won't know what exactly is on the table until September at the very least.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't need to rewatch my 'Thick of It' DVDs because we are currently living it. The best word to describe the current political situation is omnishambles.

Politicos down south are like that coffee machine, from bean to cup they f*ck up.

Would be a perfect choice if she wasn't pro Remain.

Roy Hodgson should lead Brexit negotiations, he's pretty good at leading countries out of Europe...

OK...so if pretend the brexit didn't happen then:

They also left Euro 2016 to Iceland, a nation of 400,000 vs 60,000,000...And especially in the game they've invented? Before even semi-finals...

Man there's something wrong with this country these days.
