I'm trying to learn League of Legends so I can play with this amazing boy. I'm pretty overwhelmed with how much there is to know, but I'll get there eventually.

    Currently playing through "F.E.A.R." again.

The first time I played, I was both impressed by the mechanics and pacing that often forced you into tight spots with very little ammo or other incendiaries, and yet still gave you just enough to take down all your enemies, or at least the option to skip past them with relatively little damage in order to return later with additional supplies. The game also plays in a similar fashion to Half Life 2, and offers roughly the same quality of combat. The only place it falters for me, I think, is that it feels so endless. The sheer number of combatants you must take down and the amount of time it takes is far above any other game I've played in the same genre. And unlike some other games, it never feels like enough story or exposition is given to us as a player until the tail end when you're going through the final stage.

I still prefer to reply Half Life 2, and the sequel episodes by far, but "F.E.A.R." is a worthwhile game cut from a similar cloth, that came out at about the same time.

you forgot to mention that F.E.A.R is one of the only FPS games where if you look down you can see your feet and legs.

Dark Souls, currently on DS2 for my 2nd playthrough after having beaten DS1 for the first time. Going to start fresh on DS3 after I beat 2 again.

Currently playing HITMAN, I just love the sandbox aspect and the fact that there is humorous throughout the levels, even though it's supposed to be a serious game (example: the target saying "That's a view to die for" just before you push her off a cliff)

You should try the older Hitman games. They're old and don't look great these days, but this kind of open ended assassination you mention started with those games and became more linear as time went on. Hitman (2016) was a bit of an attempt to go back to the basics.

    Thanks for your answer!

I've read what you said on a lot of websites... So I'm planning to buy Blood Money, because assassinating more baddies in weird and funny ways is always appreciated! (!)

I Think "Hitman: Silent Assassin" is regarded as the series' high point.
