I'm at 18 hours already. Still loving it, though I wish I could progress the relationship with Vetra already not sure when the next romance option shows up. I'm a fem-Ryder btw.

I've only done about 4 now, I can see the rest of the world being forgotten about until I finish it half a dozen times. Human/turian relationship well, yeah, nothing too weird there but it is ME I wouldn't be surprised if there was one with a krogan. Fem-Ryder just doesn't have the same ring to it as fem-Shep, maybe just call her fryder .

I'm also about 2 hours in (because I have work today) but so far it is awesome! I read that some people think it doesn't have a Mass Effect feel to it, but it absolutely does for me. I also love the new combat style. And I love my Ryder as well, she's gorgeous. And I already managed to cry once. Needless to say, I get very invested in games. When I'm back from work today, I'll probably not be reachable by anyone for days. xD

    Have fun guys!

The more I platy the more I feel it lacks something. Can't quite put my finger on it. Don't get me wrong it looks fantastic and the combat etc is great but maybe I'm just missing Shep.

I see it as being something like your fave band bringing out a new album that sounds a little different to their previous work, some will love it while other will hate it.

That is a definite possibility! I believe it's sort of a 50/50 chance for a former fan to like Andromeda. I was just discussing with my friend how odd I feel for being so invested in Ryder already. I thought I would miss Shepard more. He said it's exactly the same for him. In my case, Bioware made it work for me and I find the game to have just enough Mass Effect elements, as well as just enough differences from the previous ones to be able to separate the original trilogy from Andromeda and be open for everything new.

Sad to hear you're not enjoying though! :frowning2:

I am enjoying it just not as much as I wanted to but TBH I have some other stuff going on making me feel like shit that I think makes it harder for me to enjoy it.

Question for anyone choosing the more "professional" personality options. Does your Ryder joke around and act sarcastic and funny on missions?

Mine does, but I mostly chose casual responses.

Been playing it all day and I love it. I dont see any problems what so ever with the game, despite all of the reviews and negativity but then again im no Sheep.

No, it's always better to try it yourself, but when the game is 60 dollars, I don't blame people for not playing it and building their own opinion.

In that regard, the early access trial version was a godsend for me, because I would've spent those 60 bucks and I would've been way more disappointed than I am now. I just don't like it.

I tried giving it another honest shot and actually played out the entirety of the trial version, until it told me to buy the game, and I still don't like it very much. No matter how I try to look at it, it feels more like a Mass Effect fan fiction than an actual Mass Effect game.

I've been all over the place with my responses, on checking my stats "casual" is the least used, and my Ryder is quiet on missions the other two do all the talking.

I wonder if a "professional" Ryder would be the exact opposite of your one eg no banter on missions at all. What a bore they'd be.

On the actual first contact mission(meeting the Aangara) my Ryder joked about not taking video if she got eaten.

Ah I think I know where your coming from now. I think we all get those as that is typical ME humour. The writers love sarcasm. In that way they try to make Ryder too much like Shep.

I've thought about doing a sorta "Spock" Ryder for a future playthrough. Like, only picking Proffessional and Logical responses.

Who would you romance? Spock and Peebee would make a great couple I think.

I'm romancing Peebee. I have a thing for the asari race. In the original trilogy as well, I never romanced anyone but Liara.

A woman after my own heart, plus she's a little crazy which I like as well. I'll probably go back and do Suvi and Vetra for the matchmaker achievement though.

It's all about the Turians for me for some reason. Garrus I just loved, but Vetra I knew I wanted to romance before I knew anything about her other than her being a female Turian.

Whenever I get around to playing this whole thing--that is to say after some price drops and technical fixes--I'll probably be romancing Suvi. I found her to be cute.
