It absolutely tears me up that an eight-year-old girl was killed due to this. It's so sickening and upsetting. :icon_sad:

Yes, a lot of children, teens and young adults were killed because this is after all a Ariana Grande concert. It´s an absolutely horrifying and cowardly act. :frowning2:

It was devastating & horrific event, but finding out an 8yr old was killed choked me up. My son just turned 8. I've taken him to a couple of concerts before. It just really hit home for me.

To target children is such a despicable act. No innocent lives should be lost in this way. Its just utterly senseless.

My heart goes out to the victims, their families, emergency service workers & all affected by this terrible tragedy.

Terror is never an expression of freedom or a justifiable act of resistance or the a permissible outcome of social frustration.

It is always unacceptable. When it targets the defenceless, it's cowardice. When it seeks to destroy innocence, it's monstrous and cruel. When it tries to prevent happiness and art, it targets the core of a culture and a society in a way that attacking infrastructure or government institutions doesn't.

People deserve to feel safe when they go to a concert. Children deserve to feel free to enjoy themselves. People deserve to feel that socialisation in public spaces is a right, not a risk.

This attack is an utterly unforgivable act of malice. I hope Britain will stand strong and the authorities will discover any links with other terrorists and preempt a repeated attempt. Above all, Britain needs to live as normally as it can with the official threat level at critical. Britons must continue going to theatres, cinemas and concerts as soon as the immediate threat is reduced. Britons must not feel unsafe going to the polls in two weeks' time. Ordinary life can't be put on hold for terror, not if liberal democracies are to survive and move on.

What horrible and sad news, how can anyone do such a thing. I am really sadden by all of this.

I hope the Islamic scumbags suffer for this. The innocent suffer because of their evil ways.

I understand why you wrote this but people who do things like this aren't really Islamic they just hide behind that name to try and justify their actions.

There are no words.. my heart is broken for the families who lost loved ones, concert goers, the injured, the city of Manchester/all of England, and for Ariana. I will never understand how people can be so vicious. Music is supposed to be a safe place, a joyous evening turned into a terrible one in a matter of minutes.

I saw that Ariana offered to pay for the funerals which I think is a beautiful, helpful tribute to the families and friends of the victims.

Heartbreaking. Been keeping up with this in the news. Some of those kids were younger than me... it's sickening. They go out to have a good time and never come home. Concerts are supposed to be safe and fun.
