    So,

How do I know if a lady is into ladies? and what are some good dating tips? I'm trying to see how I go about this. I don't want to rush anything either, but I want to put myself out there. Tired of being in the closet.

I think you just have to get outside of your comfort zone and meet tons of people. The more people you meet, the more likely you'll find someone to be with. But you also to find someone who is understanding and accepting. So that is another thing that you have to take into consideration. Putting yourself out there us the only thing that I can think of. Stay safe. Keep meeting people until you find someone you have a strong connection with. Good luck.

Wearing a little pride/lgbt button or charm will be a sign for other lgbt ladies/people.

About knowing when someone is into you regardless of gender,
there are some good >YouTube< videos explaining it.
Same way can be found for valuable dating tips.

The most tell-tale signs (clothing, general style, etc) are mostly generalizations and while helpful, don't necessarily apply to everyone.

Meet people, engage them in conversation and trust your gaydar.
Dating apps and hanging out at gay friendly spots also helps.
