i love a straight guy

well he might be gay with a super straight blanket on. he has the need to prove that he's straight.... but when hes with friends he acts super gay. and i know that if i tell him that im gay hes gunna go tell everyone cuz sometimes he can be a bit of an ass. the only problem is that i love him. (yes i put love) ive known him since before kindergarden lol and we've been best friends since then. its only recently that ive been pushing him away because when i tell him im gay hes gunna push me away and its really going to hurt. he acts so anti gay =...=

What exactly is your definition of a "best friend"?

I highly doubt what your feeling now is love. Love is for people who will be shattered from losing the people they care about. Love is innate. Love is when you can freely profess, communicate and empathize with someone and they have returned atleast one of the three. Love is being ready to put your life and needs on the line for this person.
And until you have fulfilled all of the above, you my child have just got a long....long long VERY long standing crush on Mr Straight guy.

hes basically been there for me for the longest time. and the fact is i would go into a fucking state of depression if he left. i can talk with him about anything thats going on with me (except for the fact im gay) so i know for i fact i love him because with anyone else ive been with its never been like this.

Fact is, things change and people change and childhood frivolities are one of those things that will go. It's guaranteed. But your sexuality will never change. it's who you are.

If this guy will reject you for who you are and is simply your friend because he is eluded into thinking you're someone you're not then by definition that friendship is a fraud and there is no happy ending for you there.

Move on.
