Hello people \(^.^), As you may know, a new Final Fantasy MMORPG will be released soon, called Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The game developer, Naoki Yoshida, said that they are planning to implement marriage in the game. He asked the communiy to provide some feedback about the possibility of same-sex marriage in the game. Now I talked about it on a non-safe for LGBT forum. It's a well known gaming website: Gamefaqs. How would it change the game though? Does it have any implications? For example, 15% of the gil you earn goes to your partner?
It's a small thing, but if added, its value to the enjoyability of the game and its impact on the gaming world would be substantial. I mean think of the implications of a major name putting out a game that actually acknowledges gay marriage and gay gamers There aren't that many games that do that.
