Hey guys, my Cousin needs some suggestions for a good laptop priced around $300 that he can do his schoolwork on and access iTunes with.
(He's picky about his screen size, 11"-15" if possible, but not required.)

Any suggestions would be great! (!)

A laptop for 300? I would at least start at 4000. 300 dollar laptops are horrible.

$4000 seems a bit expensive, did you mean $400?

A $300 laptop is fine for schoolwork and music though. I was thinking of chromebooks, but I don't know if they can run iTunes.

I don't think chrome books are capable of running i Tunes, but they are really nice for browsing the web.

Check newegg.com for refurbished laptops. There are some really good deals there sometimes. I would go with a Lenovo, I have a T430s and I love it. You could probably find a T400 or T410 for around 400$. Those even have the better old style keyboards.

For $300-400, I'd probably suggest a Dell of some sort - there's a model for $349 - not very powerful, but it would be enough for iTunes and Office.

    Either that or an ASUS.

Avoid Acer and HP. JUST AVOID THEM!!!!!

I would go for a refurbished/second hand one for the price you're looking at. Personally, I'd go for an MacBook Pro, you could get it relatively cheap if you look in the right places
