...Anyone else excited for the newest installment of the Elder Scrolls? :icon_bigg
I have mixed feelings, really. I enjoy playing the hero in the TES series, and in multiplayer games everyone is the main character. However, we will get to see new lands and the graphics look fantastic, which is a big plus.
Still, it's very immersion breaking when you're told by a quest-giver that "You alone can save us!" and then you go out and have to wait for the boss monster to respawn because some other players got there first. (My pet peeve on LOTRO).
Bother. Wonder how Bethesda is going to handle that aspect.

I have been waiting for this game for soooo long. Since my first foray into the Elder Scrolls world, all I've ever wanted was the option to play it with my friends. I'm not sure how they're handling everything as of yet, so I'll have to reserve my opinion on it until I experience it for myself. I think I might have preferred a co-op option instead of full on MMORPG, but I'm still excited.

I've been hyped for this since day one, as I think a lot of other people have been. Though I really hope Bethesda don't make the monthly fee too high, they could really deter a lot of potential players. They're bound to make huge profit from this game anyway.

    I think it's supposed to be $15 a month.

Also, NDA, meaning i can't and won't say anything.

To be expected, it'll be a nice surprise!
Deviantartists making art about TES Online have churned out some great fan guess-work, too, which makes me even more excited.

The main draw of TES is that you change the world. It doesn't necessarily revolve around you, but you are a powerful force within it that can alter the course of history.

In an MMO? You're XxDov@hk11nxX (because normal names are taken) who must kill continuously spawning monsters in order to level up. Battlefields remain battlefields even if you cut a swath of destruction through the bad guys. Nothing ever really happens because if it did, it would ruin it for everyone who hasn't gotten there yet. It's a great system for having an immersive adventuring world with friends, but a terrible one for being the savior of the land.

Sorry to say I'll be saving my 15 bucks a month on this one.

Elder Scrolls has always been about how one touched by fate may change history...it has been a very solo experience. Personally, for a company so focused on solo play, I have no real hopes of them transferring that success to multilayer.

I will also save my 15 a month.

I might play this when I finish Skyrim. Which will be in 2025.

Meh. From what I've looked up and gathered, its basically just Skyrim online. I liked Skyrim and all and ESO seems great, but really nothing special. Just another new MMO. The elder scrolls name will keep it going though. No doubt.

I'll see how it goes a few months after launch. Chances are, I will end up trying it through

I'm so excited for this! Not sure exactly what my expectations are, but I think it will be fun. Loved Skyrim (first elder scrolls game I played, got it with Dawnguard, Dragonborn and Hearthfires) and I'm currently playing it as thief/assassain.

The idea sounds great, but I agree with some of the others that the previous installments were really solo experiences, so I dunno how it'd work out. Also, $15 a month seems a little much for me since I won't have enough time to get my money's worth out of it. Unless it proves to be this amazing must-buy MMO, I'll probably just save my cash and wait 5+ years for another single player title.

Sorry but what is this certain problem if you don't mind me asking?

I won't be getting TES Online but it does look interesting  I'm just excited for Watch Dogs to finally arrive if I'm honest.
