If you could have your favourite video game/book/comic adapted into a movie or series what would it be?
it could even be a movie adapted into a series or a movie for a series that currently exists.

It would be cool to have a full-length movie of the Bartimaeus Trilogy, except rated R, or at least PG-13. The books are disappointingly PG, with all those nasty demons and magicians played down to make the book child-friendly. Still great, though!
Also, another Fullmetal Alchemist movie; but one post-FMAB showing their families =)

Yes, definitely. Some of the diehards would rage, but the idea of a silent movie protagonist is silly.

Yeah, they could still limit his dialogue I suppose. I guess pleasing a crowd really is hard lol

Hm... I honestly can't think of one. I don't know. I think thing's should stick to their original mediums, honestly. The way they're supposed to be. I'd prefer it that way.

The thing with this is that people will rage that the Shepard in the movie is not 'their' Shepard and the choices aren't the same and that they're making a 'canon' etc.

If they had to make a Mass Effect movie they shouldn't base it off the games, shouldn't include Shepard or any of the characters who can die. Maybe make a movie based off the future or past. Perhaps the First-Contact War between Humans and Turians, that'd be neat.

  12. My favorite books are the Kushiel's Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey. I have probably read them twenty times each and all six are 900 pages or over...

But, the problem with adapting them to a movie (or likely a tv show like they did with Game of Thrones. both are epic fantasy novel series, so I imagine the scale would have to be similar) is that I cannot imagine anyone doing it justice. I just love it too dearly for it to be anything less than what it is.

But aside from my worries about that, Danica94 is right on the money with a Zelda movie. That could be really rad.

They are making TV series on The Dark Tower series and American Gods Some of my favorite books. I'm really not looking forward to The Dark Tower being made though because it being Directed by Ron Howard. If you have seen the last two movies he made based on books (The Da Vinci Code and Angel and Demons) weren't very good.... As for American Gods the script is being written by Neil Gaiman so should be good

Nothing. Video games don't need to be films. They are their own art form and all other adaptions have failed.

Adaptions of books are for people too lazy to read.

Bioshock. They almost were gonna make it a movie but the cost to build a highly decorated underwater city set was too high for an unproven IP. Plus the movie would definitely be rated R so no studio wanted to take the risk. I haven't given up hope though
