ok so it's 4 hours till I have to go off to college and unfortunately today is the day I'm suppose to hand in my assignment and I haven't finished it yet and procratinated (dumb I know) but in said assignment I'm require to use features of word and excel I don't think are in office 2007, I can't get a trial for the latest version since they'll bill me as soon as the trial period ends. So yeah I need a trial version of office 2010

You're best off looking for the nearest internet cafe and doing your work there. Sorry I couldn't have been much help.

OpenOffice might have the same feature. It's worth a try, since it's free.

LibreOffice may be more likely to be helpful. It's a fork of OpenOffice.org, and seems like it's developed faster than OpenOffice.org ever did.

Although, as I think of it, if the feature is not in MS Office 2007, it may not be in LibreOffice.

Finding someone with a copy of MS Office 2010 like the café idea above, etc might be the best hope.

Why not check the official microsoft page? Why make a free trial if they wouldn't distribute it to people?

Some schools have a volume license agreement, which enable you to sign it out and install it on your PC. I've dealt with such cases a few times with my volunteer work in schools.

No, you don't need Microsoft Office 2010. You need LibreOffice.
