iOS7 - your thoughts poll

Lipstick on a pig...looks good but it is still a pig. No real performance boost on iPhone 5 or iPad 3.

It's just Apple pissing up a wall introducing cutting edge features that android have had for months. Apple is playing catch up now.

 

When Facebook changed from "walls" to "timelines", everybody hated it. People hate change. Apple saw through this and while adding some new features from iPhone to iPhone the whole look and idea remained the same. This is what made them keep their fans, people saying "yes I know androids may have more features and more abilities, but I'm used to the iPhone and I can't imagine me having something else". So I don't know what got into apple, changing the whole look of the phone externally and internally, adding "gold" iphone and 5c colourful iphones, I think this is a big mistake, this will make many apple fans mad, and it will show them that they can after all imagine having some other phone.
The only thing I did like about it though, it's that it uses up less space compared to the last version because I've always had storage issues and I hate them-.-

 

Even as an Android user, I quite like it. But it does look an awful lot like the current stock Android UI.

 

Haha, ya'll are some harsh critics.
I really like iOS7 and the 5s and they might be what finally pushes me over the edge to upgrade from a crappy $100/year prepaid phone for the first time in my life.

 

I really like the layout and it looks very "clean" and "fresh". I'm still working my way around it, though - just discovered a built-in flashlight (instead of having to download an app) earlier.

 

Apple seems to always get flack for whatever it changes. With FCPX, the major changes they had such as getting rid of XML export let alone XML altogether really pissed editors off, and that was understandable. XML files were crucial for exporting and handing off to audio engineers. The magnetic timeline is also a pain to deal with when you don't know how to use it. However, XML is back and if you DO know how to work with the magnetic timeline, it makes FCPX a fantastic program if you're on a tight schedule and you need to cut something quickly.

Sounds almost the same here. Apple tries to make something easier for you to use, and people flip out. I always love updates on things. It says "Hey, look! Shiny! And shinier and trippier than before!" It tells me that we're not using the same interface over and over and over to ad nauseum.

 

I like it, it's just really slow on my 4s

 

Haven't got it yet, might get it later once they fix initial bugs.

 

I love it! I love the color and the movement is convenient. Everything seems to be running much smoother than before.

 

They could have done better, I mean it's good an all, but it's not great.

 

I like it. I think it's a nice change. Maybe it could be better but as a longtime apple user, I think the new color aesthetic is a welcome change.

 

It's a bit different and I've been an iphone user for a while now and I have it all set up the way I like, so it's taking a little getting used to, but I like it okay.

 

I love it with one exception. There seems to be a bug where you cannot scale a picture down properly in order to use it as a background

It could possibly be the new parallax effect. I thought the same thing, until I disabled it by going to Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion

It hurts my eyes with its bright colours. And white background for icons is just wrong.

 

I have it on my iPhone 4. It runs pretty smooth I must say and I like the new design (change was needed), but what I really dislike is how my control center is gray and not all fabulous and coloured like on the iPhone 5. Like why, Apple?
