I've been wondering, does anyone play Portal 2?

I have played it several times, so it is safe to say I love the world of portal, but what about you?

Portal is, without a doubt, one of the best IPs in video games. I'll say that with confidence. The mechanics work so well it's creepy, the aesthetics are unique and instantly identifiable, the characters are all fantastic despite only one of them being an actual person, and the way they apply the portal gun first as a testing tool and eventually as a weapon is just marvelous.

I haven't played either game in awhile, but I luff the Portal series. <3

I think everyone I know could recite it in unison.

I still watch the videos of all the quotes on YouTube whenever I need a good laugh. :icon_bigg

I loved Portal 2 (and Portal). They are so much fun, and you really feel like an......well idiot when playing it . But the dialogue is amazing, and I think I've memorized every single Cave Johnson line.

Ridiculous and I probably know more about Valve than considered humanly possible. Don't get me started.

I loved both Portal games :3 though I thought Portal 2 was better, I've played through it loads of times, but sometimes I still get stuck on test chambers >.<

    Such fun games.

I love it so much I have posters on my wall inspired by the series and I've made multiple papercrafts, haha. & I know the ending songs off by heart.

The person...um...AI that makes the game is GLaDOS. That dark, snarky humour. She is so totally my waifu. xD

Portal is one of the best games I've ever played, absolutely marvelous! The gameplay, the story, the dialogue, the mechanics, everything!

I beat Portal 2, but not Portal 1. And I can just say that game was freaking amazing. I absolutely loved it, even when I'd get stuck on puzzles and ragequit for a few days then come back to it and be like "Wow. That was easy. I feel so dumb."

My friends and I will randomly quote GLaDOS, the Lemon Rant, etc., when we feel appropriate. It's great.

GLaDOS is by far makes the game. Without her there is no game. Nuff said.

Maybe it's just my appreciation for great gameplay, but the mechanics of the portals themselves make the game. GLaDOS plays a big part, but you could have a nearly equally distinctive game without her. Without the momentum and orientation conservation of the eponymous portals, it would have been a cool footnote instead of a geek culture keystone.

The parts where Glados isn't present, like in the old sections of Aperture, and fan made levels without any voiceover from her are still excellent. She definitely makes the game better, but it's still brilliant without her.

I just got Portal 2 a few days ago and I'm loving it. The single player is great, but I think my favorite part is the community made maps!

I can't breathe I've found my people heLLO FRIENDS.
My brother was the first person to introduce me to Portal. THIS GAME OKAY. The music, the game play, the storyline, everything. I've beaten both games. Has anyone played Half Life? It's set in the same world as Portal but at Black Mesa - Aperture's rival company. I believe it's set before Portal but I'm not sure(I haven't played. I got all this information from my brother). But from what I've seen of it, it's very different from Portal. It's a shooting game with monsters and all that - not many puzzles. Again, don't quote me on that I haven't played - correct me if I'm wrong because I probably am.

^^As much as I love Portal and think HL is a good try, it just doesn't have the character. It's a very basic alien-killing game that IMO has lots of issues.

Yeah I wasn't sure. Thank you! I'll still probably give it a try just because my brother likes to make me play games haha! But maybe it'll help with my awful skills in shooting games. Bluh.
