No jk, I like FF, but I didn't play most of them :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
I played FF7 and liked it, and read a lot of the 8-bit-theater

Me! My favorite is VIII because that was the first one I played. Though I think the best one objectively speaking is VI. VIII just holds special memories. I've never actually beat one of them. When I love a story, it's difficult to finish. I love the characters too much and I feel like as soon as I beat it they die. They are gone, so I never turn that last page, never fight that final boss, because I want to imagine they had many more adventures I didn't see, not that they are fictional and when the story is over they disappear.

Along with Kingdom Hearts and Castlevania, FF is one of my favorite series.
My favorite would have to be VII (not only was it my first, but I love pretty much everything about it), but I think VI is really the best in the series.

So I guess it's time for my list... I have the following (* marks which ones I've beaten)
    Main Series
    I (PS*, GBA*)
    II (PS, GBA*)
    III (DS*)
    IV (PS, GBA*)
    V (PS, GBA*)
    VI (PS, GBA*)
    VII*
    VIII
    IX*
    X*
    XII*
    XIII
    sequels
    Crisis Core
    Dirge of Cerberus
    X-2
    Revenant Wings

    other
    FFT (PS*, PSP*)
    FFTA*
    FFTA-2*
    The 4 Heroes of Light*
    Dissidia*

    DVD
    FFU (whole series)
    TSW
    FFVII:AC

    and some sheet music
I'm sure others' lists would be more impressive, though :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

If you include beating the Shadowlord in Xarcabard from FF11 as "beating the game", then I have beaten every single final fantasy 1 to 13-2 using the japanese numbering system.

    Do I pass?

I love the FF series, it's on my list of favorite RPG series. I would have to say out of all the FF games I've played my favorites are V, VI and IX. Especially IX with it's story and characters, it really has a place in my heart.

Also I'm a fan of Yoshitaka Amano's work for the series. His vision of the FF universe is astounding.

    7 > 6 > 9 > 12

    No arguments.

Also Bravely Default is practically a Final Fantasy but with a different name, very reminiscent of 9 in terms of art style & execution and is also extremely good. Worth getting if you've a 3DS and you need to get the sour taste of 13 and it's sequels out of your mouth. Also jobs, lots of jobs.

The best was 7 in terms of quality and being revolutionary but 8 had a special place in my heart because I was in a boarding high school at the time it came out and the SeeD garden setting really spoke to me.

And tetra master "mini game" was awesome. I'd love an hd remake with trophies.

My favorites are 6 and 13 and my least favorites are 2 and 10 but I've played all of them to varying degrees of completion excluding 14.

I love the pic, also if you're looking to entertain yourself try FF VI it's probably the best game in the series

Haha I know what you mean. If you've never played VI through the the end you should. I would highly recommend it. The game offers a worthwhile reward to those who beat it, and has one the best cinematic endings in a 2D game ever.

Nice list. I have to ask since I saw it. What did you think of X-2. It was clearly marketed towards the female demographic, but that game was actually really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it

I'm working my way through the series, but I can't do 13. That game for me was a giant turd sandwich and it does not meet the FF standard the games are known for.

You're like my best friend right now!

IX gets so under-appreciated. I'm glad some people recognize it for how awesome it is

13 was terrible and my version would be a little different than yours. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I can't do 13. I've tried on three occasions to beat it.

I made it all the way to Cocoon, and found out the 48+ hrs of level grinding I'd done was a complete waste of time. So I sat down the controller turned off the console. Flipped off the game. Then went on to a game that was actually worth the effort.

It started as a "I have to beat it because it's final fantasy" into I actually enjoyed it.

In contrast I wouldn't give 2,3 or 9 the time of day again.

    I actually enjoyed 2, 3, and 9

9 is actually my personal favorite :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

we clearly come to the games for different reasons xD

I can't do 13, way tooooo linear. You walk a straight line beginning to end, and when you do get to the only open place in the whole game it's just a bunch of mini-game side missions you can't really explore or anything -.-'

Oh I agree the linear thing like I said to ch 11.

Also it isn't in my top 5.

    8,7,4,6 then 10 are mine.

    You're alright in my book.(*hug*)

Aeris' Theme still makes me cry. I bawled my eyes out when that first happened.

It's on my list. I'm working my ( in order ) through the games. I'm gonna chill back and thoroughly enjoy my FF VII experience. Hopefully it brings nostalgia along with it ^.^
