Why does it have a weird charger cord, yet the regular microUSB cord works to charge it without utilizing the other end port on the phone?
The weird cord is a MicroUSB 3 cord. If your computer supports USB 3 (if your computer has bright blue USB ports), it's a lot quicker to transfer data. If you use that cable in the charger, charging the phone is so much quicker.
