Any retro gamers?

Discussion in 'Entertainment and Technology' started by lannister_dragon, Jan 4, 2014.

  1. Hey EC board. Was just wondering how many of you are also retro gamers. Any atari, nes, mega system or snes users out there? I guess the n64 and ps would count too.

I still have my nes and a famicom system which I use on my old commodore monitor! 8 bit games look better on a CTR anyway. I'm still collecting nes games and have over 400 of them now.

I definitely am. I have my Sega and Genesis (was never a Nintendo kid). I also have a 386 that I boot up from time to time. Oh how I love having to manually boot into windows from DOS =) brings back so many good memories. I have Windows 3.1 on that bad boy.

I actually bought a old TV a year ago to play my Sega on. It didn't look good on my 60'' LED TV

Aside from PS1, old school computer games, and Nintendo DS (if that counts,) I don't have any other old school systems, but I love retro games. The classics never get old.

I'm not really that retro, but I do still love Quake and Commander Keen 4: Goodbye, Galaxy!

Im definitively a retro gamer. The original 3 mega mans were awesome for the nes. Here's a top 10 nes obscure list..

    1. Battle of Olympus
    2. Legacy of the wizard
    3. Clash At Demonhead
    4. Rockboard.
    5. Bump n jump
    6. Amagon.
    7. Shadowgate.
    8. Uninvited
    9. Dr. Chaos
    10. Vice Project Doom

Let me know if anyone played any of these on my list.

Depends on what you consider retro, but in short: yes!

I love some older PC games, and some N64 or Sega Genesis games remain classics.

I don't have any of the old systems, but I regularly play the classic Final Fantasy and Mega Man games for the nes and snes via emulator

  9. Uninvited and Shadowgate are my some of my fav nes games ever.

Thats cool guys, I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys classic games. Don't get me wrong, I love using emulators too but once in a while it's fun just playing on the real thing. :icon_bigg

Well considering the snes is about 23-24 years old and the n64 is in it's late teens I'd say so.
People consider air Jordan's from there "retro".

I've still got my Gamecube hooked up, but can't be bothered to get the N64 out (but I'm hankering to play Hybrid Heaven again). Also got the Mega Drive Ultimate Collection on 360 and boo-urns to whoever decided not to include Sonic 3 & Knuckles as an option. Fortunately I've got both Sonic collections on GC so I'm sorted for that.
