    It's my 22nd birthday today.

My parents got me a chromebook... It's a nice nifty little computer.

    Well, happy birthday!

I don't think I know anyone who uses a Chromebook. How are you liking it so far?

I love it. Great for cloud based and web based applications, as well a email, office stuff, productivity...

I got myself a 32GB SD card as well, so I can store more offline files.

Worth playing with before buying - depending on what you want from it, it may or may not be for you.

(!) It's time to celebrate your birthday, it happens every year! We'll eat a lot of broccoli and drink a lot of beer! (!)

Happy birthday. Enjoy your Chromebook

Nice which one did you get?

I have an Acer C710. Great little machine. It is one of favorite computers that I have ever had. I upgraded mine to 4GB of RAM as I had the RAM laying around in my parts drawer.

The only thing I don't like about it is that the battery life is not that good. I've heard the Haswell based ones are much better.

Chromebook are what netbooks should have been. I paid $199 for and for that price it is a really well built machine.

    Happy Birthday.

I haven't used one but I figure it's great for someone that lives off of Google. I use google for everything. (Email, Adsense, YouTube, Chrome, etc). So the only thing I think I wouldn't be able to do that I would want to is code, video edit, skype and use photoshop

    Happy birthday! C:

I have a chromebook and I really like it. The only downside to it I see is that you need to hook up a printer to the cloud in order to print anything. That becomes a hassle. Other than that, it's a wonderful little computer! I'm very satisfied.

Can they run office and surf the net basically? Or is it google apps only?

I may trade in my iPad for one... No flash or adobe sucks.
