Game Preferences

I play everything, although my preferred genres are third-person shooters, third-person action, platformers, JRPGs and WRPGs. There are a lot of hybrids I enjoy, too.

Mass Effect isn't a first person shooter though, it's a third-person action shooter/RPG hybrid.

 

Good catch there. OP, "FPS" doesn't mean "any game with shooting" but just the ones where it's through the eyes of your character. Between the two styles I much prefer third-person tactical like Gears of War, Arma* (it counts because you can choose your viewpoint ) and GRAW 2.

I love Mass Effect as well, but lately I've been playing a mishmash of lots of things.

 

Anything that really isn't a racing or sports sim... Or platformers. That died to me in the late 90s.

I'm all about RPGs and FPS right now. Oh and sandbox games like GTA and Saints Row.

 

I've always enjoyed side scrolling platformers, modern and classic, but not so much 3D platformers aside from the Mario titles. I adore most RPG's however. I havn't played all that many shooters, but plan on trying them out in the future!

 

I thought platforming was dead for a long time too, but some of the best platformers ever made have come out in the last couple of years. A number of them take me right back to the throwing-my-NES-controller days.

 

I very much enjoy fighting games competitively and JRPGs

 

Fighting games, rhythm games, and rpgs mostly.

 

I like RPG too and less gun-games,
Mass Effect is also an RPG!
might be confusing because there are guns there, but Fallout series is RPG too

 

I'm into RPG and RTS games.

I like games that are like GTA, Saints Row and Sims, but for some reason, I'm a little hooked on fps games as of now. I used to be hooked on racing games.

Agh, why so many people into RPGs? It's just numbers to me!

You'll be happy to know I know at least two classmates who aren't into that fps shiz and would happily play GT6 or some flight sim.

 

I like RPGs as long as they are cheerful and cute.
I've been known to enjoy real time strategies and simulators such as Sim City as well.
Oh! Sandbox games are usually pretty fun.

Numbers are fun!
Haha, it's also about collecting things and building up awesome characters. I love a game for interesting characters!

 

First and third person shooter, and good old fashion arcade games like Mario, pac man ect. And ds games some..

 

RPGs but only ones with strong story lines and interesting game play. I get real annoyed real quick if they are light on either. I also like some arcade types and used to love Sonic the Hedgehog even though it made me get motion sickness.

 

I adore my Metroidvania titles. Anything that just plants me in a world and tells me to go explore (Dark Souls, Symphony of the Night, La Mulana etc) is my idea of heaven.

 

I am all about the platformers Nothing makes me smile quite like them. However I am also a big fan of light puzzle games and shooters.

Lately I've been getting into RPG's again. Ahh, how I've missed them

 

RPG, puzzle, platform puzzle, some platform action... im a flash game junkie

 

Sandbox (Minecraft, GTA IV & V, Saint's Row: The Third, Just Cause 2 & Mafia II) & racing games (Burnout Paradise, Need for Speed: Most Wanted & Hot Pursuit 2010) are my main two types of games. Not a wide selection, but as they are all to do with cars (expect Minecraft, of course), I'm happy with them.
