So what do you think of gaming this year? I don't think I'll get an Xbox One for a while, but I've seen quite a few games I would get for it, but for the moment I am on Xbox 360. What about everyone else?

I was planning on getting a Wii U within the next couple weeks, catch up on the games for that. Later on throughout the year I'd then buy my PS4 and try and catch up on those games. And Not spend money for several months.

I'm looking forward to the new Smash Brothers, and Pokemon Bank. Too bad Kingdom Hearts 3 doesn't come out until 2015...

I'm sticking with my PS3 for now. Dunno if I'll get a PS4 or Xbox One this year.

I've completely turned into a Nintendo fanboy. I'm gonna play my Wii U all year long.

The Xbox One is terrible. Get the PS4 or Wii U (or even both!).
Let's see. A lot of Persona games are coming out this year, there's supposed to be a new Valve game coming this year (with Valve time, we'll have to see), and a whole bunch of other stuff that I don't remember due to Awesomeness Overload.

I think people should stick to the 360 if they side with Microsoft.
You could also stick with PS3, since the Persona 5 game is for PS3, but I've heard good things about the PS4.

Heck, even the phone games are somewhat good this year.
Deemo, Cytus, and Mandora are awesome. Also, iOS games that were not on Android have arrived, including Clash of Clans and Touch Detective.

I've pretty much converted to PC (with a 360 gamepad) over the past year. It seems that cross-platform gaming is becoming more common, so I don't really feel the need to get the PS4 or One in order to play games online with my console gaming friends anymore.
Software-wise, ESO is going to be fantastic!

PC is the way to go. I've pretty much given up on consoles. We'll see about one of the new ones many years from now when they're cheap and devs have a better idea of what they can do.

Wii U is really going the be beyond ''getting started'' so I'd go with that and ps3, and later into the year or possibly next year ps4. I think ps4 will take some time before it'll be running smoothly and there's not a hurry to change your 3 for a 4 yet.

I've always been an Xbox person, and I only play Swtor on my Laptop, and that's an MMO.

Expensive (Sony's now making you pay to play online for their next-gen console); also, I'm slightly pessimistic; I have a feeling that graphics will just rule over gameplay. GTA V is my only hope so far, but not for long. I hope sci-fi makes a comeback.

There's modding, and the fact that you only have to pay money for the game, hardware and/or your ISP to play, as opposed to the extra money you pay to play online and for premium network membership for the consoles, oh, and having to play by their rules of not hacking the game (which for some reason COD players of older games have completely disregarded).

Don't buy them if you want to save your wallet!

Got a PS4 & really impressed with it.

Knack is a disappointing game though, I tried to trade it in straight away but it said "Not for resale" on the box so none of the game stores took it :frowning2:

Got Assassins Creed IV & that's really good. Doesn't look that "nex-gen" though.

Can't wait for Infamous : Second Son!

I was also looking forward to Lightning Returns FFXIII & FFX/X-2 HD but my ex-bf's still got my PS3 and since we're on NC for at least the next month I dunno when I'll have it back lol!

I'd get a PS4 if it could play PS3 games, since I don't have a PS3 but I kinda would like a newer console for some of the newer games coming out soon, although I'm mostly out of the loop on modern gaming. I won't get an Xbox One though. I've got a 360 and Microsoft has screwed me over enough.

  18. This, pc is the way to go. you can also mod pc games and not to mention the beautiful graphics.

I'm going to do you some favors here:

I talk about this one a lot, but I can't give it enough credit. It's a rare gem.
    https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/

This one I haven't played, but the videos of it look insane:
    Space Engineers - Space Engineers

Not really a game so much as a tech demo, but come on... how long before somebody makes an actual game?
Next-Gen Tech Allows for Massive Scale RTS Combat | The Escapist

A little bit space-heavy there, but hopefully enough to make the point that sci-fi is nearing a crescendo right about now.

  20. I was one of you, swear I wouldn't even think about a new console till they started moving new games to next gen only. Then I bought an Xbox One last month...

So far nothing really feels next gen in terms of gameplay except for maybe Ryse, but that's mediocre at best.

I am looking forward to Watch Dogs, whenever Ubisoft decides to release it!
