Man, none of those are endearing, not even the Backtrack guy... I'm an Arch girl myself... Anyway, didn't Backtrack turn into Kali? Final note, I have looked at GNewSense, and it seriously is one of the hugest pieces of shit of all time... Actually, I haven't found a single GNU-endorsed GNU/Linux distribution that I liked. I even tried Parabola, and they basically break the system on purpose. (Since, by RMS standards, you have to put roadblocks in the way of users installing non-free software.) I like some of RMStallman's ideas, but he's a serious piece of work as far as usability advocacy goes... Free software fanaticism is a disgrace.
@Pret Allez Indeed backtrack has turned into kali. I completely agree with you when it comes GNU-endorsed distributions, that's part of the reason why I would never touch one besides there is also too much politics involved. I am a Funtoo user myself, which is basically Gentoo with less than a handful of changes. In fact it was created by the same guy who created Gentoo, Daniel Robbins. And no, I am not like that guy in that picture...Well maybe slightly, I've got long hair and no life.
Hehe I am a Fedora/Red Hat guy, and I have spent a fair amount of time in datacenter with my laptop in my hand. I even recognize the Cisco gear in the picture.
I'm a Gentoo/Arch Linux user. I do not think this picture accurately describes my physical condition, though I do have no life outside of study, torturing virtual machines, and surfing the web. Though the pictures probably are accurate to a degree, especially the gNewSense and Slackware ones ;P
I use Mint these days, because I use my laptop for work in school (read: cause my IT teacher to have an aneurysm by using the terminal whenever possible) and need a system that just works. And I guess I'm a little kid at heart!
I have bad blood with Linux. It's not linux's fault though I just have a friend who likes to install Linux based operating systems on my computers without asking me first and it usually costs me all my stuff I've been working on -.-'
Ubuntu or Mint. I haven't used Linux in ages though. My goal this year is to build my own system and have a dual boot for windows and linux. I can't get around not using Windows for some of my gear, and I find dualbooting easier than emulating.
