Does anyone have some suggestions for good editing softwares I should look into? I have Windows 7 and Live Movie Maker is just frustrating. In the past, I never had many problems with AVS or WMM and I'm kind of bummed out that it wasn't part of 7, but it is with 8 (and I'm not upgrading to 8 for an editing program).

I could try to teach myself how to work something "complex" but as long it has the basics and bare necessities, I don't really care. If you have names, how much am I looking at as far as cost goes?

I personally love Premiere Pro. However, I hear a lot of people like corel videostudio pro. + it's a lot cheaper at a little under $40

Another option would be Adobe Creative Cloud. You could get all of their video editing software for a relatively cheap monthly subscription if you are a University student.
They have a special program for students that give you a discounted rate on CC.
