    Hi guys.

Maybe you remember my old post in which I said I was going to buy an LG 27 inch IPS monitor ,but after ordering it, AMAZON f$%ked up and lost my order (YES,LOST) ,but thankfully it got refunded.

Someone I know has bought a 32 inch TV which you can see very well (LG) for like £60 pounds less than I was paying for my monitor, and now I have to decide once more...

    Monitor or TV?

I'm thinking TV this time, as I just need something with good quality image (full hd) ,and I need the real colours to be quite similar to the ones on my PC,but its not essential.

Basically for watching movies through and HDMI cable and playing games/using it for music programs.

What do you think is better?

I tend to use monitors more due to my laptop, but when I can I like to stream stuff on TVs. I just like the better size and texture quality. As long as you're not worried about portability, I'd go for TV. They also tend to last longer than monitors, so there's that too.

    Cheers man.

Are there any specific things I should look at ?

I'm going to have it connected to my macbook and my PS3 all the time,so all the media is coming from there.

Full HD is a must, but is there other stuff which will help it look better?

I use a 32" TV when I edit video in FCPX and Premier, it's got very good quality, and less compatibility issues to worry about, so i'd go with the television as well, Monitors I would only use for widgets and when working with Avid Nyu~

I used to use my 32" Screen for my computer. Worked great. Now I am just using a cheap replacment till I can get a better one.

For that sort of usage, you'd be fine with a TV - which will be cheaper per inch, but you can get higher resolutions and faster response times from monitors.

IMO, if you need a higher resolution than 1080p, or a faster response time, then go with a monitor, otherwise you'll be fine with a TV.

Monitors have a much higher resolution than a TV will have

I won't need a higher resolution as the maximum video quality I edit on after effects is 1080p!

    Cheers for the answers guys.

I like big screens too so 32 inch TV is probably my best buy!
